Artist Statement
From my earliest memories as far back as 2 years of age, I’ve always loved the cinema. If you’ve ever seen the AMC advertisement with Nicole Kidman, that pretty much sums up my experience. My favorite part of the movie theater experience other than the movies themselves is the communal feel of being in the audience. Sharing a room with over a hundred strangers laughing, crying, and gasping at the same time. That feeling is unlike any other, and is one of my primary driving forces whenever I'm in a creative space: building a sense of community. When it comes to writing, I believe it's important to craft stories from perspectives not seen as often in the mainstream. In my acting, I always try my best to make the character feel, speak, and think like a genuine person rather than a caricature. And when it comes to filmmaking, I love to craft the type of films that I would want to see or be inspired by, no matter the genre. I believe that it's important as an artist to stay true to the art no matter the genre.
"I'm obsessed with giving the audience something they don't see coming."

My Latest Projects

DIGGING UP THE BOYS
This was our UIL One Act Play Theatre 2023 Competition selection and my first time participating at the high school level. The story follows a split perspective between a trio of coal miners trapped in a gas explosion fighting for their survival and the women in their lives fighting to dig them out against the grain of an evil foreman. My character was Paul, the miner who was permanently blinded from the gas explosion.

PUFFS: or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic
Arguably some of the most fun I've had on a production! This play follows the timeline of the Harry Potter movies, but from the perspective of the Hufflepuffs. I had the honor of playing Cedric Diggory and truly exploring the world of Harry Potter for the first time.
